Scripture: “Ask and it shall be given you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. For every one that asks receives, and he that seeks finds, and to him that knocks it shall be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8)

God is always fully aware of our needs and He promises us that He will provide for our needs … if we will just ask Him! We sometimes think that the only things we need to seek Him for are food, water, shelter and clothing, but we forget to seek His provision for spiritual and emotional needs. Often when we are down, stress occurs when are physical needs are not being met and sometimes not immediately recognizable. We need to be reminded of the love that God has for us.

As the lyrics to the song “God provides” say, why do we worry about our life, when he comes to our rescue a thousand times. Every other voice saying he doesn’t is a lie. God provides. God, you said in your word if two or three are gathered together in your name you are in the midst…..we come together touching and agreeing and saying “Thank You” for being our provider not just for our physical needs but all of our needs. We can come to you and say, “God, may you provide for us and then some, so we can provide for our family and others. We will always be thankful when we have little and when we have more than enough and thankful that we will not get greedy or ungrateful when given more than enough. Thank you for hearing our prayers and providing all we need, sometimes just in the nick of time. You open the windows of heaven and pour out so many blessings that sometimes we can hardly hold them all.”

There is something about spending time with God and letting the glory that is on Him transform our life. If we continue in steadfast prayer, in steadfast surrender, in steadfast worship, then we will reach where we need to go. When we enter the secret place and remain there, then He will overshadow us and provide right before our eyes. On this day, we praise and thank him in all situations and we focus on Him always. Father, we give you all the glory, honor and praise. We love you. In Jesus’ name, we pray.   Amen.
